Get ready for Camp Cannt!

Hola lovely people of the interwebs!

Preparations for Cannt Festival 2013 are in full swing and we’re busy building a whole new look for you to feast your eyes on.

This year’s theme is Camp Cannt, where the kids have fun while the parents are away. Like summer camp, it’s all about trying new things, meeting new people and being mischievous. It’s a week of fun activities, breaking out of the ordinary and dipping your toes in unknown paddling pools of creativity.

We’re looking for agencies to join the fun and put on events, so if it tickles your fancy, drop us a note on Cannt@lbi.com

SAVE THE DATE: 17th - 21st June

NEW EVENT! Friday 22nd June

4.30pm

LBi roof terrace
146 Brick Lane
E1 6RU

What would happen if three top agencies in London got together to battle it out. Not over clients. Not over pitches. NO - over the best grilled sausages. Sausages so damn tasty they will make you salivate till Africa (goodbye drought). Time to get your aprons ready…

Dare proudly presents the first inter-agency BBQ challenge.

London agencies Dare, Leo Burnett and Fallon will get to battle it out at the LBi barbecues: in teams of up to 5 they must produce a gourmet Masterchef-worthy lunch, using only the BBQ as their stove. All teams will then be judged by the likes of Gregg Wallace and Johnn Torode. Or maybe not. But close. The winner will receive the coveted Sausage Award and therewith ultimate bragging rights for life.

For all non-apron wearers and prefer-to-just-eaters: come and mingle. Eat good food, watch our chefs labour in the sun and check out the great view of Shoreditch from the LBi roof terrace.

Cannt 2012: Line-Up

Cannt 2012!

CANNT IS BACK: Monday 18TH - Friday 22nd June 2012!

After its success last year, the Cannt Festival will be back again 18th – 22nd June to showcase and reward the best creative talent in the UK.

When all the CDs and big cheeses bugger of to Cannes to bathe in Moet, eat caviar, get burnt at the beach and sing each others praises, we, the little busy bees who make all the creative awesomeness happen, stay in London; but rather than cry and feel sorry for ourselves we put on an awesome fun romp: Cannt. A festival created in collaboration with all the best agencies, to be creative together, do fun shit and share the love. It’s headed up by Simon Gill (LBi) and Laura Jordan-Bambach (Dare), so you can see we’re not just fooling around, we mean business!

This year, CANNT will again centre around a series of entertaining and educational events hosted by advertising and other creative luminaries. Come and join the fun!

Watch this space for updates and info on all the incredible stuff happening around the festival week.

You can also follow us on Twitter and Facebook to stay in the loop.

Jelly: Cannes vs Cannt

Jelly, London production studio extraordinaire are raising the stakes in the (albeit friendly) battle of Cannes vs Cannt: Throughout the week, they will be strategically placing members of their team at both festivals to jump on unassuming participators and guests. Have your picture taken with one of their badges to be in with a chance to win an incredible Alison Carmichael print, signed and framed!

If you see Dan and his Jelly colleagues handing out badges, approach (but don’t feed!) to be in the draw for this amazing prize.

The festival which is most represented in Jelly’s photos will win the festival-off.

Let the battle commence…

ALL WEEK

THE LION HUNT

All over London BOOM

Designed to celebrate and reward London’s thriving creative community and also uncover some of the capital’s hidden gems, the game will challenge people to take photos of lions they see across the city and tweet them to @kitcattnohr with the hashtag #canntlionhunt. Only the most dedicated and nifty lion tamers will be in for a chance to win an Ipad (oh yes) at the end of the week.

The competition will run from Tuesday 19th June at 10am to Tuesday 26th June at 3pm. Any lions found in London can count – anything from statues to doorknobs and paintings to stuffed toys. Pictures entered outside of competition times will not be counted. The winner will be announced via Twitter and will receive an Apple iPad to be collected from the agency.

Lion tamers pack your whips and instagram - this hunt won’t be no walk in the zoo.

Excited about Cannt?! So are we. And we Cannt Wait to get started.
